While working at Heritage Distilling Co. a majority of my time was to facilitate the brand design and visual identity for the fast growing BSB – Brown Sugar Bourbon brand of spirit that the parent company created. This brand was very much separate maintaining a separate group of funding from the Heritage Distilling Co. company. Part of our mission with BSB was to be a sports orientated brand of spirit. With this sports orientation came major contract deals with major stadiums for sports across the USA specifically NBA, MLB & NHL arenas. These deals entitled us to certain extra opportunities to create unique engagement spaces where people could purchase and enjoy the product. One of my favorite buildouts was the one I designed for the Portland Trailblazers in 2019. For this lounge space I utilized real wood, barrels and custom diecut wood logos along with custom branding above the space. Our only constraints were that of Nike next to us and the space constraints needing to be near a floor drain as well as custom tv mounting outside of view for customers to not miss any moment of the game.

Ben Bridge Jeweler new concept retail space (Southcenter Mall, Tukwila, Wa.)

Working with SKB Architects and our internal Visual Merchandising department (which I was a part of) we envisioned a space that would tell the real brand story that Ben Bridge Jewelers had to offer. Billed as the new storefront model for all future stores and remodels Ben Bridge intended to infuse the space with interactivity. My part in this buildout was twofold; help inform the visual merchandising planning and our ability to bring elevated design and signage into the space. What transpired thanks to many meetings and brainstorming sessions with SKB was the concept I imagined for the watchmakers space paying homage to the texture of watch band leather and “wrapping” the door in actual band leather.
